Gemma Robinson - Birmingham Singing Lessons - Birmingham

Gemma is a  contemporary singer/songwriter and has been performing throughout Birmingham over the past 10 years. She teaches lessons in a fully equipped Studio/Office. She has performed many genres of music with a live band, which reflects my passion for live music. At the start of her musical career as a classically trained singer, she performed at many Operatic and Classical concerts singing lead and as part of a chorus. As her talent progressed so did her ear for music and she began to experiment with RnB and Soul. Her voice blended beautifully with many of the songs of this genre and soon she realised where her true musical passions lay. She started song writing from a young age and developed her talent by writing for many producers and achieving fantastic results. Her harmonies stand out in all of her tracks and she would spend hours working with acclaimed local producer Ylla to create a unique sound.

 

Teaching Experience:

Seven years ago she set up a private vocal coaching business and she became very busy teaching students of all ages in the Birmingham areas.  As she became a better known teacher she would be invited to talent showcases and was invited to be a judge for Festival 4 Stars, a well known talent competition which holds auditions through-out the UK and Ireland.  Whilst judging for Festival 4 Stars she met with others in her profession and started working for many theatre groups and group vocal classes. 

 She is currently employed by Birmingham Music Service working at many different schools teaching choirs and individual classes of students aging from 5 years to 20 years.  She help many choirs to perform at conventions and concerts and also help them through-out their Music G.C.S.E.  She has a lot of involvement outside of schools with concerts and events which I she encourages her pupils to take part in. 

Also she have worked for Stage Coach from September 2007-July 2008 but left to further her teaching aspirations.

She has high standards when she teaches and aims to achieve the best results from all her students.  She loves nothing more than to hear her students improve as the years have gone on and encourage them to maintain these standards whilst aiming for any musical goals they wish.  She has a large repertoire of music that she uses with all her students ranging from Theatre based to more contemporary styles such as Pop, Soul, RnB.  She encourages students who desire a future as a performer to start song writing and attend auditions which she helps with all the initial preparation and support.

Gemma has an enhanced CRB which is updated yearly.
