Lisa is a highly versatile and experienced vocalist, who works regularly on the live circuit, is a vocal coach and recording artist/producer. Apart from singing with various bands in the early years, Lisa started her professional career with the release of her first single on Debut Records, a Latin house number which did well in the clubs. The next few years saw her collaborating with producers on different projects, for material released on various independent dance labels. Session work included a track for Graham Gold of Kiss FM, and also with Sounds From The Ground on their acclaimed chillout/dub album, ‘Kin’.

During this time, Lisa also worked at various major record companies, including Virgin Records, where she gained a lot of music business experience. She also got the chance to dance in a couple of pop videos! Lisa then set up her own independent record label, Jamm Records on which she and her business partner released their own and other artists’ material. She was involved in all aspects of the business, from signing artists, to co-production, promotion, and marketing.

After running the record label, Lisa started singing for various function bands at venues all over the UK. Lisa had vocal training with top session vocalist, Tony Walthers, who sang with Natalie Cole, Michael Ball, Diana Ross, to name just a few. She studied and gained her National Certificate in Music Technology at South Thames College in London,

She also set up and ran a course on how to set up an independent record label, and taught music business studies at various different colleges/projects in London.

The next couple of years saw Lisa set up her own production studio in Bermondsey, South London where she worked on and produced her own and other artists’ material. She worked regularly with singer/songwriters coaching their voices to achieve the best results in both their recording and live performances.

Lisa now works regularly with her own band, Groovestar (Hot ‘n’ Spicy Music), as a solo artist, acoustic duo and dep singer at various different functions, from restaurants to pubs to private parties and corporate functions.
