Hi, I am Mark Smith and I have been working as a professional singer for 20 years,  I studied music at Coventry University where I received my B.A. hons in music and composition. Here I also studied up to grade 8 singing techniques.

 Following University I went on to sing in bands and musical theatre. I worked in a 9 piece soul band for a number of years and then began working as a professional singer for Cruise-liners, traveling around the world. This experience has learnt me how to look after my voice and it has been invaluable experience that I can bring to your lesson.

 I also write and produce music for television and theatre as part of my two businesses 'Safesound Productions' and music for children called '`Kidsounds' with my business partner John Bassett ( Caprio ip )  and so I can record my students, and I find it a great advantage so that the student can hear their voice and see its development over time.

 I Like to keep the lessons informal and relaxed because I know how nerve-wracking it can be, especially your first lesson. It's mainly about getting to know your voice and developing a confidence with it through various exercises that can be put into practice when we begin singing songs for real, and then it can be fun, and extremely rewarding. Whether you are looking for a career as a singer, or just a musical hobby, singing can be beneficial in many ways !

At the moment I teach my lessons from my home in Wednesbury, in a small room which has my mobile project studio.
