 Clyde Parry - Southport

Clyde started in the music industry at the very tender age of 13 playing guitar in Sefton Youth Jazz Orchestra, being noticed then by a famous trumpeter named Digby Fairweather, who gave him the honor of playing along side himself and his partner Stan Barker on the theatre circuit in the Northwest. When Clyde was 15 he then went on to play with his parents in a family band touring the holiday camps and club land in and around the Merseyside and Lancashire area, but this time he also gave backing vocals.

Being the youngest to get accepted into Liverpool Music College at the age of 16, Clyde gained a wealth of knowledge not only in theory but practical experience. This opened the door for him to sing and play with lots of Liverpool bands as a stand-in session singer/musician. A few years back, after making contacts overseas in Northern Ontario, Clyde traveled to Canada for 9 months touring with a company and getting to meet and jam with the likes of Lone Star and Brian White, who performed with Shania Twain.

Clyde landed a dream job at Rock-it Records. Being one of two main vocal coaches and later on producing singers such as Danny Tetley from Pop-Idol, Clyde gained invaluable experience and knowledge which you need to strive in this demanding industry and stay one step ahead of the game.

After touring venues with the likes of The Detroit’s and as a solo guitar vocalist for the last 8 years - covering an array of styles, from Elvis Presley, Boyzone to Michael Buble - Clyde recently caught the attention of Radio Merseyside’s Billy Butler and Norman Thomas who, through public demand, interviewed him, talking and reviewing his new cd featuring the song ‘If you’re not the one’ (Quoted by Bobby Socks, saying; ‘A dynamic and challenging main vocal complemented by an ultra high harmony, Best voice I’ve heard in years’).

Recently Clyde got asked to be featured on a track called “Memories” by rap artist ‘Stock’ who’s last song was featured in the movie ‘White Chicks’, with his recent record deal , the track will hopefully be released very shortly.

Over the years Clyde have taken acting roles in TV, the latest being ‘Nice Guy Eddy’ featuring Ricky Tomlinson.
