I have been singing for as long as I can remember. I started Amateur Dramatics when I was about 9 year’s old, playing parts in various pantomimes. I continued with this until I was 15, I then took time out to focus on my GCSE’s and decide what I wanted to do when I finished School. I didn’t give up singing whilst I was doing my GCSE’s, I started gigging with a local band singing 2 or 3 songs in their set each gig as a guest Singer. I then decided I wanted to study Musical Theatre/Singing so I applied and was accepted for the 1st Diploma, and then went on to study BTEC Musical Theatre. I have recorded tracks for College Students on the Music Diploma too. As any singer I have done many Open Mic Nights in local pubs and I am forever singing in my car and at home. The most recent performance I have done was for my Nan’s 70th Surprise Birthday Party; needless to say my Nan was very surprised and so happy.

What to Expect
Within your first session I will provide you with a learner folder, which we will keep up to date every session. I will evaluate your voice and your learning style, in order to identify the best way to teach you the skills you require. Every singer is different and teaching one voice is completely different to teaching another, so in order to make the most out of your vocal abilities you need to be taught in the correct way.

Some people get nervous before starting their first lessons and it may continue for some time, this is completely natural so don’t worry too much. I am a bubbly, easy going person and even I get nervous, It’s perfectly normal. I will do my best to make you feel comfortable in your surroundings and we will work together to improve your confidence.
Through-out your sessions, I will give you regular handouts and progress reports. You will be given homework and warm-up’s to practise at home as well.
